Mar Thoma Residential School was established in 1974 by the Mar Thoma Educational Agency, Tiruvalla which is a charitable body registered under the Travancore- Cochin, Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies registration Act XII of 1955. The Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church is the President of the Society. The School is situated in a 5.5 acre campus at Kuttapuzha (Tiruvalla-11) on Tiruvalla – Mallappally Road within a kilometre from the K.S.R.T.C.Bus Station and the Thiruvalla Railway Station.

The School provides congenial atmosphere for sound education and healthy living. The aim of the School is to impart quality education for the development of the total personality of the children and to help them take their right place in home, society, church and state.

The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. While maintaining high standard in the academic field, the educational programme offers opportunities in various co-curricular activities.
