Mar Thoma Residential School was founded in 1974 by the Mar Thoma Educational Agency, Tiruvalla, Kerala, India, which is a charitable body registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955. The Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church is the Patron of the Society. The school started functioning with three teachers and eighteen pupils. From such humble beginning, the school has had a phenomenal growth. At present, it has 83 teachers and over one thousand six hundred pupils on the roll
